The bet

Every product was adding an “AI” tab. We wanted the opposite: to remove the tab entirely and put people insights where leaders already work: their AI tools, Slack and MS Teams.

Teamspective launched the first engagement and performance platform that does exactly this, so collaboration, performance and engagement insights show up inside a leader’s daily workflow instead of in yet another dashboard.

What I worked on

  • The integration layer that exposes people data to AI assistants as tools, with the permissions model that makes that safe in an HR context.
  • The conversational surfaces in Slack and Teams.
  • Product analytics from the ground up (a company‑wide North Star metric, OKRs and KPIs) so we could tell the difference between novelty and adoption.

What adoption looked like

Not a spike and not a novelty bump, but a consistent upward trend:

  • Tool calls increasing daily.
  • Messages sent growing steadily.
  • More unique users discovering the AI features, engaging, and sticking week after week.

Gimmicks get tried. Useful tools get used.
